SPECIFICATIONS
Our Ferrous Sulfate meets Chinese national standards, as well as European and American standards.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Iron(II) sulfate or ferrous sulfate denotes a range of salts with the formula Fe SO4·xH2O. These compounds exist most commonly as the heptahydrate (x = 7) but several values for x are known. The hydrated form is used medically to treat iron deficiency, and also for industrial applications. Known since ancient times as copperas and as green vitriol , the blue-green heptahydrate (hydrate with 7 molecules of water) is the most common form of this material. All the iron(II) sulfates dissolve in water to give the same aquo complex [Fe(H2O)6]2+, which has octahedral molecular geometry and is paramagnetic. The name copperas dates from times when the copper(II) sulfate was known as blue copperas, and perhaps in analogy, iron(II) and zinc sulfate were known respectively as green and white copperas.
PACKAGE
APPLICATION
Ferrous sulfate can be used to make iron salts, iron oxide pigments, mordants, water purification agents, preservatives, disinfectants, etc
Ferrous sulfate use in medical
Iron(II) sulfate is sold as ferrous sulfate, a soil amendment for lowering the pH of a high alkaline soil so that plants can access the soil's nutrients. In horticulture it is used for treating iron chlorosis.
Ferrous sulfate can be used to stain concrete and some limestones and sandstones a yellowish rust color. Woodworkers use ferrous sulfate solutions to color maple wood a silvery hue.
STORAGE
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from kindling and heat source. Protect from direct sunlight. The package must be sealed against moisture. It shall be stored separately from oxidants, alkalis, etc., and shall not be mixed. The storage area shall be equipped with appropriate materials to contain the leakage.
QUALITY INSPECTION
Our chemicals can be tested by any impartial third party, such as SGS,BV,ISO,CE, etc.
